Online participation

Educational Data Mining will offer methods for individuals to attend and participate virtually. Individuals who register and select they will attend remotely will be given detailed instructions on how to participate in daily activities.

Virtual Attendance of Papers, Keynotes and Panels

Keynotes, Papers, and Panels will be live streamed  via Zoom rooms accessible to virtual attendees. The links and passwords for each room will be sent to the email attendees used to register for the conference on the morning of the presentations in question. A volunteer will manage the Zoom room and questions put in the chat for the presentation will be put into the same queue for questions fielded live during presentations.

Virtual Attendance of Posters

Poster Presenters unable to attend in-person will be given instructions on how to send their posters to be printed so they can be displayed in the poster presentation. Virtual attendees wishing to attend the poster sessions will be given access to a Zoom room with information about each poster accessible through the link. Computers with zoom rooms will allow in-person attendees to ask questions of remote poster presenters. ) Virtual Poster Presenters will be asked to remain available during the time of the poster session in order to answer questions.

Code of Conduct

The Educational Data Mining Conference Code of Conduct will extend to virtual participation. Please read the code of conduct here: https://educationaldatamining.org/edm2024/code-of-conduct/. Sharing of links meant for virtual participation to individuals who have not registered for the conference is not allowed.
