EDM 2023 has several scholarships available for the conference attendees.
Applications must be received by May 28, 2023 for full consideration.
Professor Ram Kumar Scholarships
The Professor Ram Kumar Memorial Foundation has endowed a grant of $5000 to be used for providing financial assistance to any EDM-2023 attendee, not just students, but also teachers and learners interested in acquiring or reinforcing their knowledge of Educational Data Mining, in the academia as well as industry. The goal of the grant is to enable those desirous of attending the conference but have no institutional support or another award from the conference. The awardee need not have a paper/demo/poster accepted for publication or presentation but is expected to provide a 1-pager on their learnings from the conference that can be made publicly available for knowledge dissemination. There are 50 such awards at $100 each available. The Scholarship Chairs at their discretion can increase the award amount to up to $125 each. These awards are open to anyone, anywhere in the world, but the Scholarship Chairs may choose to give preference to women candidates.
Travel Scholarship
The International Educational Data Mining Society will be providing travel scholarship to selected attendees. While everyone is allowed to apply, a priority will be given to junior researchers (e.g. Graduate students, recent postdocs, etc.) who have never attended the Educational Data Mining Conference before. Recipients of the scholarship may be invited to participate in the conference in a format where they can discuss their work with conference attendees. For example, through participation in the doctoral consortium or a similar format. Recipients of the scholarship will be asked to provide evidence of non/insufficient support (e.g., in the form of a letter of support from their supervisor).
If you are interested in applying to the scholarship, please apply by completing the form available at this link: https://forms.gle/RmjR3tMoLdRwngmc7
There are also scholarships available for current undergraduates and high school students that will cover the full registration fees (except for $10) for awardees. The awardees will be responsible for other costs. These scholarships are available to students from anywhere in the world, and are expected to be provided on a first-come first-serve basis.
