Visa requirements
For participants who require a visa to travel to the United States, we recommend applying to the U.S. embassy authorities as soon as possible, since the process may require some time.
In cases where participants require an invitation letter to support their application, the conference administration will happily provide this. Such requests should be made only after payment of the registration fee is confirmed. Please contact us at eiliadou@buffalo.edu for further information.
Participants from many countries should be eligible to enter the U.S. under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). The VWP allows citizens of participating countries to travel to the United States without a visa for stays of 90 days or less when they meet all requirements. Travelers must be eligible to use the VWP and have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval prior to travel.
If you are eligible to travel on the VWP, but prefer to have a visa in your passport, you may still apply for a visitor (B) visa.
